North to Alaska!

I’m really enjoying the warm July nights. I’m spending time with family and friends, enjoying backyard barbecues and sipping some lovely BC wines.

We barbecued some salmon the other night, and it was amazing! I picked it up at FAS Seafood, a local seafood shop just two streets over from the hotel. It was hard to choose what to have as the Dungeness crab looked very tempting as well. It’s a great time to be living in an ocean-side city with so many opportunities for fun!

Speaking of fun, we still don’t have a winner for our Sips ’n Seafood Festival tickets. Your mission is to identify this local “celebrity.”  Are the clues too hard? I know we’ve been pretty cryptic, but that’s what riddles are all about. Here are the clues again:

  1. There’s a distant cousin out front of 533 1/2 in Chinatown. Don’t knock! They don’t know the answer inside.
  2. Half of me is a backpacker’s hostel.
  3. Born in June? You should wear one of these.
  4. You just have to whisper, promising the moon.

Today, I give you the 5th and final clue: Our event partner, FAS Seafood, catches much of their product near the Canada-US border at Latitude 54° 40′ N, just south of Alaska.

Please post your guesses below, and the winner will receive a wonderful evening for two, courtesy of the Inn at Laurel Point and our chefs from AURA waterfront restaurant.

Stay different!
