Heaven and hell collided last Saturday night as our 6th annual Sinners Ball in honour of the Belfry Theatre,
The weird and the wonderful were all there present and accounted for. Not only was this an amazing feast for the eyes the food was incredible too. Seriously check out this gourmet three-course menu:
- Parsnip and Mascarpone Risotto with Poached Pear and Almond Foam
- Roasted Beef Tenderloin, Butter Poached Lobster, Truffled Mashed Potatoes and Winter Root Vegetables.
- Carmelized Banana Souffle served with Coconut Anglaise and Mango /Passion Fruit Coulis
In a word…YUM
Heaven guests arrived around 5:30 and were treated with dinner and a show. An aerial artist from Salt Spring Island literally hung from the rafters in our Terrace Ballroom between dinner and dessert. Thrilling to say the least.
After dinner Heaven guests were escorted into a candlelit lounge where they were treated with the soothing sounds Louise Rose. The alternate source (and some might even say equally compelling) of entertainment was the arrival of Hell’s guests who were tagged and sent to Purgatory where minimalist decor and cash bar awaited them until … you guessed it All Hell Broke Loose. Bryden Street House Party rocked the house till the wee hours. Unbelievable.
Who said Victoria had no edge? Check out these pics (more available on Facebook) – we were all about edgy!
And just like out guests at Sinners, be sure to stay different. It’s way more fun!!
